About how much should I charge to house and pet sit ?

house pet
Tonia asked:

I will be pet siting 1 dog, 1 cat, and 2 birds. I will be staying there but I will not be eating their food of using their stuff…besides the bed, t.v., and bathroom of course. I just don’t know what the going rate of house and pet sitting is. Help me please.

the dog $8, the cat $5, both birds $12.

That would depend on how much experience you have, if you have any training (like a pet first-aid course), what else they expect you to do (water the plants, take in the mail and the newspaper, light cleaning, etc.), if you are bonded and have liability insurance, and how long you will be there.

I pay roughly a little over a 100 a week. That’s for 2 dogs and a cat. The person I use does eat what food we have if that matters any. He also uses our laundry beings he doesn’t have his right now.
