I would have to say, though, that, although not strictly a house pet, monkeys (they now help the disabled) would be most expensive.
Oh, but a pet that is really sick and needs lots of medical treatment would be really costly too.
ok.. probably parrots are the most expensive to buy.. BUT
Large reptiles, like Iguanas, are the most expensive to house correctly..
most people keep pets, like parrots, and Iguanas in cages MUCH MUCH too small for them…
My Cats are the most expensive animals i know to take care of, they are very spoiled and will only eat the best foods, sleep on electric blankets during winter, need fresh litter in their own litter bowls every day, one is always after new cat clothes to parade around in and the list goes on. I wish i only had to look after a snake or parrot or something, it would be a lot cheaper.

Look online, it IS the most expensive house pet. And yes, it’s legal to own. It’s price tag is more than 130,000 dollars. Can you think of food, caging, toys, and vet bills for one??
So unless you have a White Lion Cub, you probably don’t have the most expensive pet.
