Why does my pet house cat keep bringing me the same toy and crying ?

Maybe she wants you to play with her?

She probably wants you to play with her. My 4 month old male does the same thing with his toys (he has no favorite among them). Maybe try using the stick and running the toy on the ground for her to chase? It’s a fun game for cats
I wonder if your cat thinks she’s bringing you something that she’s ‘killed’, and is bringing it to you. She is telling you that she’s brought you her ‘kill’ and she’s sharing it with you. A little bit like when they catch a mouse and proudly leave it on the doorstep for you!!
Is she spayed? If not, she might be mothering the toy and showing it to you for approval. If she is spayed, she’s probably just wanting to play.
